M&K opens showroom in San Francisco - 6,000 sq. ft.

Michaelian & Kohlberg has opened a 6,000 square foot showroom in San Francisco at Showplace Square East, (150 De Haro Street) in a new facility located behind the existing Galleria. The building's uniquely high ceiling has inspired M&K to display their carpets like banners from a specially built steel I-beam structure, 35 feet square by 17 feet high. Rugs, hung from this structure, will divide the open space and act as colorful backdrops for vignettes of antique furniture and accessories collected by Teddy Sumner, principal of M&K, on his globe trotting trips to remote locations where the rugs are produced.

The showroom can be reached at 415-252-6200.
