This stunning 9,000 square foot showroom features hundreds of Michaelian & Kohlberg’s signature handknotted carpets and M&K Wilton carpets. Also on display are our own M&K Textiles as well as a wide range of contemporary upholstered furniture including Mitchell Gold+Bob Williams. The collection of Asian antiques and furniture, artwork, garden ornaments and jewelry make a visit to this showroom a must.

Summit is also the home of our wholesale, marketing and custom design departments.

Bridget Mate

Bridget, the Summit showroom manager, has worked in the design industry for the past 10 years as a buyer and merchandiser of furniture and textiles, and as a designer. She played an integral part in launching the new M&K Textile line, now available in all M&K showrooms. Besides having a passion for all things well-designed, Bridget loves the color yellow and her Volvo station wagon.

Ali Chaudhry

Ali started with M&K in 1985. But for a brief interruption, Ali has been with the company ever since and currently manages Michaelian’s Wholesale Division, located in Summit. Ali parlays his 20 years’ experience in the home furnishings business into impressive product knowledge and excellent service to his many clients. Although Ali grew up surrounded by carpet weaving in his hometown in Pakistan, Ali’s start in the rug business as a young man was completely serendipitous; while admiring a handknotted carpet in a Fifth Avenue window, a showroom salesperson virtually hired him off the street!
